I think the photos represent the frame accurately. The finish is nice but not fabulous, lighter than my other nickel but warmer than chrome. If you look closely at the edges where the mirror meets the frame, you see bits of the glue used to make the attachment. I was able to rub most off, but you still see it if you look for it.The French cleat it comes with attaches at the very top, so there's nothing keeping the bottom of the mirror from swinging out when you clean it, like a loose picture frame would. I replaced another hanging vanity mirror that didn't have this problem. To make it worse, the cleat for hanging the other orientation is the first part of the mirror to hit the wall when it moves, so it will dig a gouge in the wall if you're not careful. I'm going to add a second French cleat at the bottom, and some silicone bumpers, to fix the problem.Overall it's a nice looking mirror when you're not staring at it looking for flaws, but you'll have to modify its hanging system if you want it to be firmly mounted to the wall. What it comes with isn't going to let it drop, but the bottom edge swings out easily and a lot when you clean the mirror's surface.
