So I have a project which require a large quantity of hex nuts and washers. Due to my immediate need for the hardware, I went to a large chain home improvement center, searching for a bit to find what I needed, and then patiently counted out 100 of each leaving the hex nut box empty, at the same time I organized their inventory as there were so many different sized nuts and washers in the 1/4 inch bulk box. It was so hot and muggy and there was no place to set the flimsy produce-type bag and lay out the hardware.At the register, the cashier went through each and still found some of wrong size mixed in each bag- didn't think about needing reading glasses for this purchase as there was a tiny number on each nut and washer to differentiate. This took a bit of time and everyone in line after me was growing impatient. Finally, I walked away with less than 100 of each and mismatching quantities and I was surprised at the expense and I had wasted nearly 30 minutes.I still needed 200 more and before looking for another home improvement store in the area, I decided to check on Amazon which I probably should have done in the first place. So five minutes later I purchased the same product for half the cost and they came conveniently bagged in sturdy film separated by 100 count in less that 2 days. Plus they sent me a poem!Buh-bye home improvement stores after I return my original purchase.
